Natsu grew up alongside Akechi Kei as childhood friends and classmates. Since both her parents were busy working, the Akechi family basically raised her. She was totally dependent on Kei, convinced he'd always be there—until Rio came into the picture. Once Makihara Rio entered Kei's life, Natsu stepped back and decided to just watch over him from a distance instead.
