Miroku Amagi
Miroku Amagi is the main antagonist—a young man consumed by hatred for humanity who dreams of a world where only psychicers exist. He founded W.I.S.E. to make this happen, and through the organization, he managed to pull the asteroid Ouroboros to Earth, transforming the planet into what survivors would later call Psyren, a world filled with dangerous creatures called Tavoo.
His descent into villainy started in childhood. As an orphan subjected to experiments by Grigori, Amagi was reportedly a cooperative and cheerful kid—at least at first. He complied with the testing because he'd been promised he'd eventually reunite with his twin sister and parents outside. His sister would go on to create Nemesis Q. But as he got older, he stopped buying the lies. He became withdrawn and emotionless, speaking only to Kouichi Iba, one of his handlers.
On his eighteenth birthday, Amagi convinced Iba to disable the helmet that suppressed his powers. He immediately went berserk, killing nearly everyone at Grigori except Iba and the other psychicer test subjects. That massacre marked the turning point—from that moment on, he was driven by disgust for humanity and a singular obsession: erase them all, leaving only psychicers.
Amagi's ruthlessness is clinical. He shows little emotion about the deaths of his own subordinates, and he won't hesitate to kill other psychicers who stand in his way. In the future timeline of Psyren itself, he keeps mostly to the shadows, having left W.I.S.E. under the control of Grigori #01, now calling himself Grana and leading the Star Commanders.
