Risty bursts onto the scene as a rough-around-the-edges bandit, showing up right when Leina's getting her ass handed to her by Melona. She pulls Leina back from the brink of death, which basically kicks off the whole dynamic between them. After that, Leina becomes pretty obsessed with tracking Risty down throughout the anime, determined to follow her around before the Queen's Blade tournament actually starts.
