Palermo is a recurring character in Pokémon the Series: XY who first showed up in A Showcase Debut! (XY060). She's a famous producer and former Kalos Queen—basically a legend in the Pokémon Showcase world. According to Monsieur Pierre, she's responsible for launching the careers of countless Performers.
Being as prominent as she is, Palermo gets constantly hounded by the media. She's known for scouting talented young Performers and helping them break into the Showcase scene, though she's pretty particular about who she invests in. Her relationship with Aria is particularly telling. Party Dancecapades! (XY105) revealed that Palermo was instrumental in Aria's rise to prominence. The two are close—Palermo has said there will never be another Kalos Queen quite like Aria. They stay in touch, and Aria clearly respects her former mentor deeply, crediting Palermo with helping her achieve the Kalos Queen title.
