Horou is a wandering amnesic from parts unknown who rolled into Utakata Village and somehow ended up working alongside the local Slayers. She fights demons with an almost unsettling ease, moving through combat like it comes naturally to her—which makes her total lack of memory about where she came from all the more strange.
What really gets people talking is her personality. She's listless, has no real grasp of manners or social convention, and does things that catch everyone off guard. Her bizarre behavior and general weirdness tend to stir up trouble wherever she goes, and her stay in the village is no exception. She's the kind of person who makes you wonder what her deal actually is.
