Ye Fan was a standout athlete during his college days and pretty much a fixture on campus—the kind of guy people knew. He had a thing for weird folklore and strange tales, which probably came in handy later.
Things got weird fast. A reunion with old classmates at Mount Tai ended with everyone getting yanked off Earth by some bronze coffin. They wound up exploring the ruins of Leiyin Temple on Mars, then had to survive the Divine Crocodile's tribulation just to reach the Big Dipper Star Region.
After being saved by a girl named Weiwei, the group got recruitment offers from the six great grotto heavens. Ye Fan was different though—he's an Ancient Sacred Body, which meant conventional cultivation methods didn't work for him. The other sects passed, but Lingxu Grotto heaven let him stay anyway. Instead of following a master's instruction, he basically had to pioneer his own path forward.
