A detective with Yokohama PD who handles assault, bribery, embezzlement, extortion—the heavy stuff. He's the oldest member of MAD TRIGGER CREW and the one who brought Rio Mason Busujima into the group alongside Samatoki Aohitsugi. He's known for asking people if they want to get arrested, usually with a wry edge to it.
Jyuto originally joined the force to fight the drug war, but somewhere along the way he got pulled into yakuza territory. The more he waded into that world, the more his ideals crumbled, until people started calling him a dirty cop. Still, despite being worn down by all the crime he's seen, he's genuinely good at looking after people—which is why he naturally ends up playing mediator between the other two members of his division.
His motivation for becoming a cop comes from personal tragedy. His parents, good honest people, were killed in a car accident by a drug-impaired driver. Early in his career, his partner and mentor was everything a cop should be, but he became an addict and eventually died from an overdose. That's what pushed Jyuto toward harder, messier methods of tracking down dealers and users—he stopped playing by the book because the book clearly wasn't working.
