Luida leads the floating colony. She's best known for taking Vash in during Trigun Maximum after finding him stranded in the desert—arm already gone, courtesy of Knives. Once she and the other colonists learned what was actually happening and what Knives had planned, they committed to fighting alongside Vash to stop him. After watching Vash take loss after loss, she respected his choice to handle things alone, and the colony backed him up completely—gear, coat, prosthetic arm, everything. Even now, she's ready to support him however she can.
In Trigun Stampede, the setup is similar, but Luida's focus shifts to researching how Plants can be used to restore the soil of No Man's Land.
