She's constantly surrounded by shikigami that treat her like their mistress, calling her ojou-sama. What she actually is remains pretty unclear—she needs some kind of element to survive, and she's hinted that leaving the Tenbi area would be dangerous for her since the element doesn't flow as strongly in other places. She's never fully explained what that element is or why she's dependent on it, which honestly just adds to the mystery around her character.
