Jake is a modified human operative for the Union's assassination squad, where he works alongside his partner Mary. As one of Dr. Crombel's most successful creations and among the earliest modified humans in the series, Jake represents a significant leap in transformation technology—his full power supposedly dwarfs Mary's by a factor of ten.
Personality-wise, Jake's a handful. He's egotistical, aggressively confrontational, and tends to look down on what he considers failed experiments like M-21 and M-24. Mary regularly has to call him out for his behavior. His brutality is hard to miss; his methodical elimination of everyone in a hospital raid demonstrated just how little restraint he operates under.
Power-wise, Jake's legitimately dangerous. He's noticeably stronger than minimally-transformed operatives like M-21 and substantially outclasses M-24. Notably, he pushed the scientists conducting his experiments to keep enhancing his transformation, suggesting he had some say in how far his modifications went. Once he shifts into his full transformation state, the gap between him and other operatives widens dramatically.
