Masanori's the emotional type—he'll cry or throw a fit over basically anything. Among his friends, he's the scattered, immature one who serves as comic relief. He's loud and unfiltered too, happily broadcasting every thought that crosses his mind with zero hesitation.
In his own head, Masanori's basically perfect. He's genuinely proud of himself, especially about being "stupidly strong." Honestly, he'd rather just punch his way through problems than deal with anything complicated. In his world, whoever wins a fight gets to be right, and that's all there is to it.
Despite his lack of manners or tact, Masanori's loyal to Hideyoshi—just as dedicated as Mitsunari or Kiyomasa, honestly. He calls Hideyoshi "Old Man" and loves bragging about any compliments his lord throws his way. He respects Nene too, though he gets all shy and nervous around her, terrified of getting lectured. Both Hideyoshi and Nene figure that his easygoing attitude actually helps keep the more serious guys from constantly bickering.
He's got a solid fraternal relationship with Kiyomasa, but he's frequently annoyed with Mitsunari—constantly ragging on him about his helmet or his ego. The thing is, the moment Nene's within earshot, Masanori shuts up immediately. Since he doesn't care as much about rank and status as the other two, they're sometimes united in just rolling their eyes at his antics. The three of them fight constantly, but Masanori doesn't really hold grudges. Compared to the others, he seems stuck in their happier childhood days—he's always the one bringing up embarrassing old stories or teasing them about it. He even calls Mitsunari by his childhood name when he gets excited.
Sakon calls the three of them the "three idiots," and she's made it clear that Masanori's the dumbest of the bunch.
