Sailor Buri was a Phage born from actress and idol Alice Itsuki. She holds the distinction of being the very first Phage that Sailor Moon ever fought.
The creature came into existence when Sailor Iron Mouse extracted Alice's Star Seed, convinced she might be holding a True Star Seed. The Star Seed turned black instead, triggering Alice's transformation into Sailor Buri. The Phage's design drew heavily from Alice's background as a performer—think idol aesthetic meets sea creature.
Iron Mouse bailed the moment she realized Alice wasn't useful to her, leaving Sailor Moon and the Sailor Starlights to handle the mess. Things got tense fast. Sailor Buri went after Sailor Moon, who straight-up refused to fight back out of concern for Alice. Sailor Star Fighter stepped in and hit the Phage with Star Serious Laser, but Sailor Moon wasn't having it. Star Fighter argued that once someone became a Phage, there was no saving them—better to end it quickly. Sailor Moon rejected that logic entirely and proved the Starlights wrong by using Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss to purify Sailor Buri. The attack worked: Alice's Star Seed returned, and she was fully restored.
Visually, Sailor Buri was unmistakable. She wore a yellow fish tail, a fish-head hood, and a bra made to look like two pink fish kissing. Heavy makeup covered her face. Like all Phage, she had the requisite sailor collar.
Her weapon was a spiked microphone that functioned like a mace, complete with an extendable cable for range.
