Wèi Ruì-Yīng's second student, nicknamed the Death Bird Demon, he's best known for his fierce devotion to Erika. After befriending her, he became protective to the point of recklessness—he challenged Charles de Guise to a duel, convinced that de Guise couldn't handle the responsibility of keeping her safe. The duel ended with de Guise dead and Fēi-Yàn facing off against Kenshiro, who defeated him. But Kenshiro showed mercy, recognizing that Erika's influence had changed him for the better.
Later, Yasaka mortally wounded him. Knowing he wouldn't survive, Fēi-Yàn made one final selfless choice: he asked Kenshiro to send him out to sea in a boat rather than let Erika watch him die. In his last moments, he thought back on everything she'd done for him before slipping away.
