Haruto's childhood friend who's had a rough time with romance, to put it mildly. He's harbored feelings for Yuzuki for a while, which obviously didn't sit well with him watching Haruto live under the same roof as her. His first crush was actually on Aoi, though she never really reciprocated his feelings.
At some point he decided to cut his losses with Yuzuki and shifted his attention to her sister Rin instead. That didn't work out either—by late summer, it came to light that he'd confessed to Rin only to get rejected. So yeah, not his best season.
