Rinku is a child-demon best known for fighting with enchanted yo-yos called Serpent Yo-Yos, which he manipulates using his aura to either strangle opponents or strike them directly. He's a member of the Jolly Devil Six and tends to be playful and childish—a personality quirk that usually gets on people's nerves, though he and fellow member Chu seem genuinely close.
During the Dark Tournament Preliminaries, Rinku faces off against Kuwabara and pulls off a win by knocking him out of the arena, then uses his yo-yos to pin him down before he can recover. He shows up a few more times as a spectator during the tournament, notably during Yusuke and Younger Toguro's match. By the time of the Makai Tournament, he's trained under Genkai and leveled up to A-Class demon status, expanding his technique to control the yo-yos with his toes and fingers as well. Kuwabara has noted that Rinku also kicks with incredible power. He made it through the Makai preliminaries but didn't advance much further in the main tournament.
