Kylo Ren burst onto the screen in 2015's The Force Awakens as one of Star Wars' most compelling villains—a guy basically nobody saw coming. He's the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, which already puts him in an interesting spot given his parents' massive legacy.
Luke Skywalker trained him as a Jedi, but that didn't stick. Supreme Leader Snoke got into his head and pulled him toward the dark side, and Ben embraced it fully, taking on the name Kylo Ren in the process. What makes him interesting is that he's never quite as confident or stable as he pretends to be—fans often note the instability beneath his menacing exterior.
Adam Driver's performance really sells the character's internal conflict and rage, making him feel like an actual person wrestling with power and identity rather than just a one-note dark side user.
