Like the rest of the group, she kills and destroys without hesitation—it's just the job. She's particularly hostile toward teachers, viewing them as the root of all evil in Academy City.
She's been working alongside Leader for years, long enough to read the situation well. When Leader made contact with Misaka Mikoto (who'd already taken down Seike), Ya figured out what was coming next without needing to be told.
As an esper, Ya's power revolves around manipulating specific gravity to separate liquids. This might sound simple, but it's the foundation for everything she does in a fight. She carries various chemicals in her utility belt and mixes them on the fly to create different effects. Her signature move involves a custom-made coolant that freezes targets rapidly—lethal when it reaches the heart and brain. She's actually improved on Academy City's standard formula.
