A freelance photojournalist who's currently in Vietnam documenting the war. Takayanagi ends up being Hazama's first real contact in-country—he's the one who brings Yabu into the picture by introducing him to the hospital setup. Later on, when Takayanagi heads out with a transport unit headed to Dalat, he's the one who arranges for Hazama to tag along for the ride. Phan and Bob come with them too.
