Tiara Suzukawa—who goes by the stage name Tiara Yumesaki—is the headmistress of Dream Academy and the older sister of Naoto Suzukawa.
She didn't always run her own school. Back in college, Tiara worked behind the scenes at Masquerade and got to witness the idol duo's rise firsthand. What stuck with her, though, wasn't just how talented they were—it was overhearing girls in the halls saying they wanted to be idols but convincing themselves they couldn't do it. That defeatist attitude bothered her. Why would anyone give up before even trying?
After Masquerade disbanded, Tiara visited her friend Orihime, who'd taken over as headmistress of Starlight Academy. She saw the long line of applicants and heard Orihime explain that only a handful would actually get accepted. That's when it hit Tiara: all those girls turned away would just abandon their idol dreams. She decided to do something about it.
Dream Academy was her answer. She built it in less than a decade with a philosophy that cuts through all the usual gatekeeping: "If you have the passion, anyone can be an idol." It's a much more welcoming place than most idol schools, designed specifically to give girls real chances instead of just closing doors in their faces.
