Old Master
An aging farmer who runs his operation with old-school stubbornness—pretty much the definition of a guy who refuses to retire despite being well past the point where he should. He's got that typical grumpy-elder energy, but he's also practical: when Thorfinn and Einar show up, he strikes a deal with them. They help out around the farm, and he lends them a horse in return. It's a straightforward transaction, but it's one of the few moments where these two actually catch a break during their time in that region.
