Sayo Samonji is a tantou blade and one of the Samonji group. He's best known for being heavily fixated on revenge, something he inherited from a dark past and the influence of his former master, whose sole desire was vengeance.
His dialogue can come across as genuinely unsettling—fans often note the disturbing and unusually harsh things he says for a character of his type. But there's something surprisingly poignant beneath the surface: his own destroyed line suggests that hating others was never actually his wish to begin with. It was pushed on him.
