Lena is a character who appears in the episode "A Jolting Switcheroo!" She was staying at a Pokémon Center with her younger sister Lyn when their bags accidentally got swapped with Bonnie's—Lyn's bag had her Pichu, while Bonnie's contained Dedenne. Lyn quickly realized the mix-up and took off to search for her Pichu, leaving Lena worried when she noticed her sister had disappeared.
Meanwhile, Ash's group was hunting for their lost Dedenne. Clemont tried using one of his inventions to track it down, but the device exploded spectacularly. Lena spotted the blast and rushed over, relieved to find both the group and Pichu at the scene. After they explained what happened, Lena figured Lyn must have ended up with Dedenne and headed off with them to search.
They eventually tracked down Lyn and Dedenne in a grape orchard, but the two were about to be attacked by wild Beedrill. Ash's Pikachu intervened just in time, and the crisis was averted. The reunion complete, everyone decided to grab dinner together.
