A 20-year-old college student who grew up abroad and doesn't speak a word of Japanese. Somehow he still got hired—Sakaki apparently saw something in him. Since Kondou was basically the only person on staff who could actually communicate with him, she ended up handling all his training. The result is that his Japanese is pretty unorthodox; he mostly picked up whatever Kondou taught him, which means his vocabulary tends to lean weird and specific in ways that probably wouldn't show up in a textbook.
