Kyouichi is a second-year member of Shiro High School's Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. He comes from a family that's run an inn for the last 300 years, so he grew up steeped in traditional Japanese arts—flower arrangement, tea ceremony, calligraphy, and the like. That classical training shows in his work; he's particularly strong with the flexibility and expressive side of rhythmic gymnastics, which he picked up after switching from artistic gymnastics in junior high.
What's interesting is that despite being scouted to attend Shiro High, he didn't actually make the regular roster until his second year.
