Woz
Woz keeps the Gekko running. As the ship's resident hacker, he handles all the software maintenance—a job that keeps him pretty busy given how much tinkering goes on around him. He and Jobs started out as stowaways, but they proved themselves useful enough that the crew let them stay.
The two of them clash constantly over how to manage the ship's systems. Jobs throws modifications at the setup, and Woz insists on rewriting the control software to compensate for each one. Jobs figures the existing software can handle whatever changes come down the pipeline; Woz disagrees. It's a dynamic tension that somehow hasn't blown up in their faces yet.
Personality-wise, they're pretty different. Woz leans hippy—grunge clothes, relaxed vibe—while Jobs is more polished. But they've got a solid friendship underneath all the bickering. He's picked up the nickname "Woz the Whiz" around the ship, a nod to his namesake, Steve Wozniak, one of Apple's original co-founders.
