Barnes is a troublemaker who runs with Ravi, constantly stirring up problems at school. He's got this annoying habit of dropping random facts into conversation to seem intelligent, but mostly he's known for vandalizing every surface he can find—walls covered in his graffiti are basically his calling card. Beyond that, he's a genuine bully who messes with people just because he can, and he's particularly fond of pushing Ravi around to keep him in line.
Their antics regularly attract unwanted attention from the Cardbots, situations that Jun ends up quietly cleaning up. Interestingly, Jun manages to keep the secret of the Cardbots' existence from both of them for quite a while, even as she's repeatedly saving their skins. Once the Motown Times announces a bounty for actual Cardbot photos, Barnes and Ravi shift gears into a new hobby: creating fake evidence and trying to pass it off as the real thing.
