A fiend and the last survivor of a village devoted to worshipping Seraphowl, a holy chicken. Gerberga's a natural when it comes to magic—being a fiend gives him both serious magical power and deep knowledge of how it works. He's best known for his skill with illusion magic, which he's been using to protect Gerberga ever since barely escaping a devastating vampire attack on his village. He was handling the vampire threat alone when he first crossed paths with Lock.
