Ageha Yoshina is the protagonist of the Psyren manga series. He's a high schooler who gets pulled into the dangerous card game Psyren while searching for his missing classmate, Sakurako Amamiya. Once he arrives, he teams up with another former classmate, Hiryu Asaga, and the two end up surviving the first round together—which surprises pretty much everyone.
As he keeps returning to the game, Ageha learns to harness his PSI abilities and gradually uncovers the truth: Psyren isn't just some game, it's connected to the future. With this knowledge, he and his growing group of friends—eventually including Oboro and Kabuto—work to protect people back in their own time.
Before all this started, Ageha was just your average high schooler hustling on the side. He'd take on people's problems for 10,000 yen a pop. His sister Fubuki raises him since their mother passed away years ago. His father, Yoshina Asuka, works as an astronomer.
Back in elementary school, Ageha was pretty laid-back and hung out with Asaga regularly. Amamiya was in his class too, though they weren't particularly close. Still, Ageha noticed how her personality shifted—she became distant and cold after losing her own mother.
