Mame is a Mamedanuki youkai and one of the more memorable characters in Class 2-3, mostly known for being Sano Mikoto's best friend. He's basically a small raccoon dog with a pretty wild ability—he can shapeshift into humans, other youkai, or even objects just by putting a grocery bag on his head. Yeah, it's as weird as it sounds.
The guy's got tons of energy and enthusiasm, which is probably his most charming quality. Unfortunately, that energy doesn't necessarily come with a ton of brains. He's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed—he genuinely struggles to write his own name correctly, which fans often note as pretty endearing in an oblivious sort of way. It's a running joke that he's lovable despite being kind of dumb.
