Grade: First year of high school
Akari's the quiet type—reserved and timid, which means she doesn't have a huge friend group and tends to blend into the background. But what she lacks in social presence, she makes up for in conviction. She's got a strong sense of justice, especially when it comes to keeping her town clean. Seriously, litter drives her crazy. You'll find her picking up trash around town on her own time, even though nobody's asking her to do it.
Everything changes when she meets Tokio. Through Spogomi, Akari starts to come out of her shell and genuinely improve herself—less about forcing a personality change and more about becoming the person she actually wants to be.
