Wu Xie is the main protagonist of the Chinese novel series Daomu Biji and its sequels, which unfold entirely through his first-person narration. He comes from a family of grave robbers—specifically, he's the grandson of Wu Laogou, the legendary figure known as Changsha Mystic Nine, and serves as the sole heir to the Wu family legacy.
Before getting pulled deeper into the family business, Wu Xie ran an antique shop in Hangzhou and worked as both a photographer and author under the pen name Guan Gen.
