A third-year at Hagun Academy and daughter of the swordsman Kaito Ayatsuji. Ayase is best known for her relentless drive to reclaim her family's dojo—something she's been obsessed with since her father lost it two years ago.
The story goes that Kaito fought Kuraudo, a Blazer from Tonrou Academy, in a high-stakes match with the dojo as collateral. He lost badly and ended up in a coma, leaving the dojo in Kuraudo's hands. Since then, Ayase has thrown herself at improving her swordsmanship, repeatedly challenging Kuraudo with no success. She sees the Seven Star Sword Art Festival as her real shot at getting everything back.
That's why she approached Ikki asking for his guidance. She knows she needs to get stronger, and fast.
