Itsuki Kawasumi is the Bow Hero, one of the four Legendary Heroes summoned to Melromarc.
He got pulled into this whole thing unexpectedly—hit by a speeding truck while heading home from prep school, then woke up in another world as one of the Legendary Heroes. As the Bow Hero, he's convinced he's the strongest of the group, though that's pretty much just his own assessment. He tends to take on covert missions eliminating corrupt nobles and rescuing villages, but he's honest about his motivation: he does it for the recognition and praise.
His backstory explains a lot of this. He was bullied growing up, which left him desperate to feel special and superior to others. His strong sense of justice and constant need for validation both tie back to that same wound. It also makes it hard for him to be around Rishia, whose meekness and general lack of confidence hit too close to home—she reminds him too much of his own weakness.
