So suddenly inheriting a shrine and spiritual responsibilities wasn't exactly a step down, even if she had no idea what she was doing at first.
She doesn't have much natural spiritual power, which means she's constantly grinding just to keep up with the job while also trying not to flunk out of school. It's a lot.
Her relationship with Tomoe, the shrine's fox spirit servant, is. complicated. She gets visibly annoyed whenever he flirts with other women, which he does pretty regularly.
