Noriko Nakajima is probably the most genuinely normal girl in class 5-3, which is saying something given her classmates. She doesn't go looking for trouble, but it finds her anyway—constantly. She started out as basically a background character hanging around with her best friend Shizuka, but gradually became one of the class's more prominent members and a major magnet for supernatural weirdness.
Miki has it out for her, which Noriko probably doesn't deserve. Miki—a blonde with shoulder-length pink hair and the second-biggest bust in class—gets visibly annoyed whenever Noriko steals her spotlight, muttering things like "That Noro-chan!" under her breath. But despite coming across as quiet and easygoing, Noriko's got a wilder, more playful side that comes out when youkai stuff happens. She's also a bookworm and a genuinely clever thinker. She once cracked a genuinely creepy case involving the school library's ghost and a kidnapping ring connected to the ghost's favorite book—which happened to be one of Noriko's favorites too.
