Hazuki is a Hybrid Child who's had a rough start—abandoned twice before Koutarou took him in. Things didn't improve immediately; Koutarou's family actually tried to get rid of him too, tossing him out like garbage. But Koutarou wasn't having it and went straight back to retrieve him. As Hazuki grew older, he became devoted to helping Koutarou however he could, clearly determined to prove his worth to the person who actually wanted him around.
