Hayama Shirakumo is a jōnin from Konohagakure known for his exceptional swordsmanship. He's got long dull purple hair tied back in a ponytail and a distinctive scar running down the right side of his mouth. He wears the standard Konoha shinobi gear with short sleeves, fingerless gloves, and carries a thin katana strapped horizontally across his back.
His real strength lies in kenjutsu—specifically, he's mastered the Vacuum Sword technique, which lets him fire cutting arcs that can slice through both ninja and weapons. This skill proved invaluable during the Invasion of Konoha, when he was assigned to patrol the northern border alongside Tekuno, Naruto Uzumaki, and Kosuke Maruboshi. The squad was ambushed by an entire battalion of Iwagakure ninja, but Hayama and Tekuno held the line, summoning explosive crossbow projectiles and taking down dozens of enemies to buy the others time to escape and report back to the village.
After Pain's invasion devastated the village, he was among the shinobi helping with reconstruction efforts.
