Ashton Anchors is best known for being the unlucky swordsman who gets fused with two demon dragons—literally. He meets Claude's group while trying to solo some dragon-slaying job in a cramped cave, but he trips almost immediately. There's a flash of light, and suddenly both dragons are stuck to his back. Because they're pure-bred demons, the dragons tend to fully possess him and use his body to chat with the party, which is as awkward as it sounds.
His actual combat skills with his twin swords are decent enough, though he consistently gets outshined by Claude in every fight. What makes Ashton fun is how scared he gets during battles—he's always freaking out internally, which provides most of the comedy relief. Afterward, though, he'll totally fake bravery and act like he had some brilliant tactical plan all along.
Off the battlefield, Ashton has this bizarre obsession with barrels. Like, genuinely unhealthy. He can tell you the entire history of a barrel and where it came from just by rubbing and smelling it. He also has a pretty one-sided crush on Precis that goes nowhere, which probably doesn't help his confidence issues.
