Personality: Ron is excitable to the point of being volatile—prone to table-slamming, sudden shouting, and wild mood swings. He's absolutely obsessed with the Phantom Thief legend, and when he gets thoughtful, his speech trails off into quieter, lighter utterances. His devotion to his wife Desirée is unshakeable; he'd do anything for her, which is kind of the whole reason his life spirals.
Misc Facts: Ron claims to be Mask DeMasque. Make of that what you will. He works as a security guard for KB Security, alongside Oldbag (and briefly Larry). He lives on the third floor of the Palazzo Pelpepe building.
Friends and Family: He's married to Desirée DeLite, and she's everything to him.
Background: Ron met Desirée when he heroically defended her from muggers. She was impressed, they fell hard for each other, and married quickly. But a few months before the events of GS3, his world fell apart: his boss at KB Security discovered Ron had been selling job intel to other companies and fired him on the spot. He never told Desirée.
Desperate to keep funding her expensive hobbies, Ron decided to turn to crime—specifically, the phantom thief life he'd always fantasized about. His first heist went badly, though. Nearly caught by police, he ditched his thief outfit in an alley and grabbed an old security guard uniform to escape. Detective Atmey found the costume he left behind.
That's when things got worse. An anonymous blackmailer started sending Ron letters, threatening exposure. The blackmailer had figured out his identity and began ordering him to steal specific items, leaving payment in a predetermined safe. Ron became a puppet, following instructions and receiving detailed tips on how to break into buildings and avoid guards. Eventually, the blackmailer sent a threat to actually expose him—which brought Ron to KB Security on the night of the T&T case 2 investigation.
Name Origin:English: "DeLite" connects to his Japanese name's sweetness meaning. "Ron" is Hebrew for "Joy," which pairs nicely with his surname.
Japanese: "Amasugi" comes from amasugiru (too sweet). "Yuusaku" may reference the actor Yuusaku Matsuda, though Ron looks nothing like him.
French: "Plaisir" (pleasure).
