Shion runs the Koyo Academy Group as its board chairwoman and holds membership in the Kengan Association. She's probably best known as Hatsumi Sen's ex-girlfriend—a relationship that's left its mark on both of them.
They met and started dating back when she was in high school, about eighteen years ago. Hatsumi took her to Tochigi Destiny Land at one point, but things fell apart when she caught him cheating. That should've been the end of it, but Hatsumi stuck around for two more years before claiming he needed to leave on some kind of training journey to fight stronger opponents. Shion saw right through that lie when she found an adult tour program he'd dropped, revealing what he was actually up to.
The two ran into each other again years later at one of Hatsumi's Kengan debut matches. Shion watched him flirt with Akiyama Kaede, the Nogi Group's new secretary—which probably wasn't the most comfortable reunion.
