She's Aki's childhood friend from middle school whose grandfather runs the local agricultural co-op union. Her family's wealth apparently comes from selling land to an infrastructure developer at a good price, which explains her attitude—she's pretty much insufferable about her status and looks down on anyone she considers beneath her, despite not actually having much to show for herself. Most of her attempts at things tend to fall apart anyway.
She ended up at West Shimizu High School after failing to get into Ezono, which clearly bothers her. That's why she takes shots at Aki during the equestrian competition in episode 4, and later does the same to Yuugo. She names her horse "De Royal."
