Nemesis is a manipulative girl who pulls the strings behind Mea, using her as a spy to monitor Yami's life and emotional development. She's convinced herself that Yami will eventually snap back to her assassin roots—it's just a matter of time—so she's decided to stick around the human world and befriend everyone, much to Momo and Rito's frustration. The irony isn't lost on fans: she claims to accept Yami's choice while actively working against it.
Like most of the cast, Nemesis has developed romantic feelings for Rito, though her approach is characteristically controlling—she wants to "train" him as her pet, which tells you pretty much everything about how she sees relationships. Her sadistic streak and need for dominance define how she interacts with almost everyone around her.
