Heiji (ヘイジ), nicknamed "Heiji of the Rain Shelter," was a shinobi from Amegakure who served as Kandachi's right hand—and Kandachi himself was Hanzō's right hand, making Heiji part of that inner circle. He died within Amegakure's walls at some point, only to be dragged back into the world years later when Kabuto accidentally summoned him during a ritual meant to resurrect Hanzō instead.
During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kabuto treated Heiji as expendable, deploying him alongside other weaker reincarnated shinobi as cannon fodder to help break free stronger pieces from their seals. Heiji's role was mostly utility—he created smokescreen cover that let some of the more valuable reincarnates escape during combat with the Allied Shinobi Forces. The Fourth Division eventually caught up with him and sealed him away. When Kabuto's Impure World Reincarnation fell apart, Heiji's soul was finally put to rest.
