Kobayashi runs BB Lounge, a nightclub tucked away in Shibuya's entertainment district. He's obsessed with the Three Kingdoms period—like, genuinely obsessed—and it shows. His obsession got so out of hand that he actually hired Kongming to work at the club, convinced the guy was just a really committed method actor or impersonator playing up the historical character bit. Kobayashi's the type who'd rather spend time talking about ancient Chinese history than dealing with typical nightclub business, so having someone who could actually engage with that interest probably felt like a win in his book.
