Uosuke is a member of the Garou Knights, Fiore's elite executioner unit.
At first glance, Uosuke seems almost absurdly cheerful—he's constantly smiling and even breaks into casual dancing while preparing for fights. True to his laid-back personality, he's obsessed with fishing. He literally uses his Terrain Effect: Gravity Zone spell like a fishing rod, calling his targets "catches," and he gets visibly excited whenever someone summons aquatic Celestial Spirits (he drools over Pisces much the same way Fairy Tail's Happy does). His favorite catchphrase, "Tai," is actually the Japanese name for a type of sea bream, which says everything you need to know about his priorities.
That said, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. When Arcadios waded into lava to protect Yukino and Lucy, Uosuke genuinely wondered if humans could even survive that—then seemed relieved when it actually worked. Despite his role as an executioner, he's willing to kill in the line of duty, though he's far from fearless. When faced with strong opponents, especially Celestial Spirits, he visibly panics and sweats through his cheerful facade.
