Akane is a year ahead of Kotarou at his high school and serves as president of the school's occult research society. She's earned the nickname "School Witch" thanks to the mysterious vibe she naturally gives off. Most people see her as arrogant at first, but that's really just her exterior—she's got a much more down-to-earth, straightforward side that comes out around close friends and family. She basically runs the occult club solo most of the time. In Rewrite, she's one of the main heroines.
