Romeo grew up with the weight of his father Macao's reputation as a Fairy Tail guild member—kids at school wouldn't let him forget it. Desperate to turn things around, he begged Macao to take on some impressive job that might finally make him look cool. When his dad disappeared for a week with no word, Romeo panicked. He went to Makarov asking for help, but the guild master turned him down. That's when Natsu, Happy, and Lucy stepped in and tracked Macao down themselves.
