Duke is a red and black striped frog who serves as Chocolat's magical familiar. Theoretically, he's supposed to help her rack up hearts, but in practice he mostly just hangs out on her bed or naps. Rather than offering actual advice, Duke tends to make discouraging comments instead. He's got a habit of ending every sentence with "-kero" (basically the frog equivalent of "ribbit"), and he's constantly bickering with Blanca, frequently calling her a rat just to get under her skin.
