Tekuno Kanden is a Konoha shinobi best known for his role defending the village's northern border after the Sand and Sound invasion. He's got a stocky build and messy brown hair, and typically wears standard Konoha gear—fingerless gloves, an unzipped flak jacket over a utility sash loaded with scrolls.
His skillset centers on explosives and traps. He's particularly deadly with wires, laying them across battlefields in elaborate networks that let him snag multiple enemies at once. During combat missions, he's been shown summoning a crossbow loaded with explosive-tagged projectiles, and he apparently knows his way around a sword too, though he's primarily known for his ranged firepower and trap work.
After the invasion, Tekuno was assigned to a squad with Hayama Shirakumo, Kosuke Maruboshi, and Naruto Uzumaki to patrol the northern perimeter. When a battalion of Iwa shinobi ambushed them, his traps initially slowed their advance—but once the enemy pushed through, Tekuno stayed behind to cover the others' retreat. Working alongside Hayama and his explosive crossbow, he and the team managed to take down dozens of Iwa ninja before they could reach the village.
He later showed up during the reconstruction effort after Pain's invasion, openly bragging about his heroics from that earlier mission.
