Chidaruma is the all-powerful leader of the Devils and basically created everything in the Dorohedoro world—though the Hole apparently existed before him, which even he doesn't fully explain.
He's defined more by his quirks than anything else. Chidaruma loves eating, inventing bizarre things, and messing with people just to see how they react. What really gets his attention is anyone weird enough to break the rules of normalcy. He took En under his protection after the magic user pulled off something almost impossible: surviving in hell for years by cultivating an enormous mushroom forest and living off it. More recently, Chidaruma's been closely monitoring Ai and his fractured personalities, fascinated by the unconventional magic and devil research they're pursuing.
